Hi everybody. It has been a while... I've been very busy optimizing over 100 esx servers. During this time, a lot has happened. One of the things is ofcourse the release of ESX 3.5 Update 2. VMware changed this CD a bit and there were other files which was holding the HBA drivers. Andrew Palm was so kind to change the script and send it back to me. His comment:
"So I went ahead and made some changes to the script which pulls apart the extra files, edits them and repacks it all up in one go...
Thanks to both of you for your work. I've been using my updated install media now for http deployments for a while without any issues. Its a great install process not having to worry about the san being disconnected. using the nework boot iso and a kickstart file, I can have a host rebuilt in under 15mins. That includes a reboot and configuring all my networks, hp agents & tweaks etc."

Did you know: the maximum amount of memory in an ESX server is 256GB. And the Service Console max is 800MB. By default 6% of the total memory cannot be used (look at Mem.MinFreePct)
