INTRODUCTION
VMware ESX provides dynamic control over the amount of physical
memory allocated to each virtual machine and resource pool. Memory
may be overcommitted, so that the total size configured for all
running VMs may exceed the total amount of available physical memory.
The system manages the allocation of memory to VMs automatically based
on allocation parameters and system load.
DESCRIPTION
Starting with ESX Server 3.0, most previous command-line controls
for resource management are no longer available. Resource
management controls are supported from both the UI and SDK.
