Today I configured my virtual VI (VC and 2xESX in Workstation 6.5). Updated to the latest software and patches and there was one thing I noticed. After enabling my servers for HA, VirtualCenter gives me this nice warning:

So good reading should give you some clues on what to do next. Basically: there is no redundant network for the service console, and in case of NIC failure, this host will go into isolated mode.
Now we've got two options... Either attach a 2nd physical NIC to the switch on where this service console is on, or create a 2nd Service Console network in a seperate subnet, on a separate network.
I've provided two screenshot which resolves this issue. Cheers.
Use two NICs in one switch
Use two Service Console ports in two seperate networks

Did you know: the maximum amount of memory in an ESX server is 256GB. And the Service Console max is 800MB. By default 6% of the total memory cannot be used (look at Mem.MinFreePct)
